Bio
Brooke Palmer was named Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Operations at Spartanburg Methodist College in July 2024.
As a member of the athletics administration team, Palmer oversees all aspects of event management, serves as the primary game day administrator for all home athletic events, and monitors all athletic facilities. She is responsible for the scheduling and daily use of these facilities by athletic teams. She coordinates and manages game day operations for all home contests, including setup and breakdown, and hosting visiting teams, officials, and game day staff. In 2025, SMC hosted the CAC Classic Tournament at Tyger River Park.
Palmer also collaborates with the College’s Facilities Department and the Event Coordinator on contracts involving external parties requesting to use Athletics facilities. She manages the hiring, training, and scheduling of interns, work-study students, and part-time employees who support the facilities during daily operations and events. Additionally, she serves as the primary point of contact with Hometown Ticketing, the digital ticketing and event management platform for SMC.
A former softball student-athlete at SMC, Palmer returns to her alma mater after gaining professional experience with Spartanburg County and Blanton Insurers, as well as serving as an assistant softball coach in nearby Boiling Springs.
During her freshman season at SMC, she hit .358 in 48 games, recording a team-best 11 home runs and 54 RBIs. That year, the team received the Outstanding Service Award from the institution. As a sophomore, she batted .371 and led the team with 17 home runs and 48 RBIs, posting a .916 slugging percentage and earning First Team All-Region X honors.
After graduating from SMC in 2017, Palmer earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management from the University of Charlotte.
