SMC Women’s Cross Country Places 10th at Pfeiffer Invitational

The Spartanburg Methodist College women’s cross country team finished 10th at the Pfeiffer University Cross Country Invitational on Friday.

Nsimire Bahongwehre paced the Pioneers, covering the 5K course in 24:46.7—just 13 seconds shy of her personal best. She was followed by Anna Altman (48th, 25:33.4), along with newcomers Gabby Jarvis (59th, 28:05.6) and Elizabeth Byrd (73rd, 30:26.2).

NCAA Division I Winthrop University secured the team title with four of the top five finishers, while Delaney Bundy of Meredith College won the individual race in 18:31, finishing 57 seconds ahead of the field.
