No. 10 UPIKE scored the first eight points of the game and built a 22-9 lead after the opening 10 minutes en route to an 80-50 win over the Spartanburg Methodist College men's basketball team on Monday night.
UPIKE (22-3, 15-1 AAC) placed three players in double figures — Bradley Bunch (18), Keynan Cutlip (15), and LA Walker (15) — in the victory. The Bears shot 40.5% (30-for-74) from the field and knocked down 15 three-pointers.
SMC (6-20, 4-14 AAC) was paced by an 11-point effort from Cameron Pulley, while Calvin Brown added 10 points and six rebounds for the Pioneers.
