SMC Women's Golf Wraps Up Fall at AAC Preview
ACWORTH, Ga. – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's golf team finished ninth with a 54-hole score of 1,119 (366-379-374) at the AAC Fall Preview on Tuesday.
The Pioneers were led by Adeline Todd, who carded a 261 (+45, 81-90-90) to tie for 36th with Samantha Roper of Reinhardt. In the final round, Todd recorded a birdie on the par-4 No. 4 hole.
Next for SMC was Isabella Marz, who tied for 47th with a 278 (+62, 90-93-95), matching Abbey Coyle of Montreat. Melanie Meredith and Gracelyn Toler followed in 55th and 56th place, respectively. Meredith finished with a 288 (+72, 94-98-96), while Toler posted a 292 (+76, 101-98-93).
Tinsley McDaris continued to show improvement, closing with a final-round 111 to finish 63rd with a 353 (+137, 120-122-111).
Amanda Jurander of SCAD Atlanta claimed individual medalist honors with a 218 (+2, 74-69-75), winning by four strokes. She helped lead SCAD Atlanta to the team title with a score of 903 (+39, 309-296-298), finishing 20 strokes ahead of the field.
