SMC Women Begin Play at Lady Roadrunner Spring Invite
SPARTANBURG, SC – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's golf team sits in 15th place after the opening 36 holes of the Lady Roadrunner Spring Invite in Cohutta, Georgia. The tournament field features 14 teams ranked in the top 40 nationally, including eight in the top 20.
The Pioneers are led by sophomore Adeline Todd, who posted a 36-hole total of 174 (82-92) and recorded two birdies over her rounds. Juniors Melanie Meredith and Isabella Marz followed with totals of 178 (87-91) and 181 (91-90), respectively.
Sophomore Gracelyn Toler carded a 193 (96-97), while freshman Tinsley McDaris finished the day with a 234 (116-118).
Dalton State's Jia Kataria, the nation's top-ranked individual, holds a one-stroke lead after shooting a 141 (68-73). Dalton State leads the team standings with a 591 (303-298), four strokes ahead of SCAD Savannah.
The final round is set to begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at Nob North Golf Course.
