SMC Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at East Tennessee Collegiate
The Spartanburg Methodist College women's golf team finished fourth at the East Tennessee Collegiate with a 36-hole total of 706 (+130, 345-361).
Cumberlands (Ky.) claimed the team title with an eight-stroke victory, posting a 36-hole total of 588 (+12, 290-298). The Patriots' Ainslee Curce earned individual medalist honors with a 143 (-1, 72-71).
SMC was led by Isabella Marz, who tied for 19th after carding a 167 (+23, 81-86). She recorded a birdie on the par-4 10th hole along with eight pars in her final round Tuesday.
Teammate Adeline Todd finished 21st with a 172 (+28, 85-87), highlighted by seven pars in her closing round. Gracelyn Toler placed 23rd with a 180 (+36, 84-96), recording back-to-back pars on holes 12 and 13 in her final 18.
Also for the Pioneers, Melanie Meredith tied for 27th with Abbey Coyle of Montreat after shooting a 187 (+43, 95-92). Tinsley McDaris rounded out the SMC lineup in 34th with a 235 (+91, 119-116).
