SMC’s Ossian Lindberg Haak Earns CSC Academic All-District Recognition;
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams for men’s soccer across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA were announced on Tuesday afternoon, and Spartanburg Methodist College earned an honoree for the second straight year. This year’s selection is sophomore midfielder Ossian Lindberg Haak from Malmö, Sweden.
This fall, he appeared in 15 matches and made five starts for the Pioneers, who advanced to the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament in the program’s first year of competition. He scored goals in contests against Tennessee Wesleyan (Sept. 20) and Bryan (Oct. 11).
To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the team’s matches or start at least 66 percent of those contests, and must hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially supported financially through the NAIA governance structure.
