SMC’s Hana Vucinic Earns AAC Defensive Honors

Spartanburg Methodist College junior Hana Vucinic has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week, the league announced Monday.

In the Pioneers’ three matches last week, Vucinic averaged 4.78 digs per set, highlighted by a pair of 17-dig performances. She also contributed across the board with 23 kills, 4 assists, 2 aces, and 1 block. Vucinic capped the week by recording a double-double.

The Pioneers return to action Friday, Sept. 19, when they host Reinhardt in their home opener at 6:30 p.m.
