Campbell Earns AAC Men’s Golfer of the Week Honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Spartanburg Methodist College sophomore Thomas Campbell of the men’s golf team has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Campbell, who is originally from Chapin, S.C., earned the honor after capturing medalist honors at last week’s Koala Classic. He posted a two-round total of even-par 142 (72-70) to lead the Pioneers to a runner-up finish.

The accolade marks the fourth weekly award for the Pioneer men this season, with Campbell becoming the third different SMC golfer to be recognized.
