Bio

Elijah Todd joined the Spartanburg Methodist College men's and women's golf coaching staff in January 2026.

Todd assists with all aspects of both programs, including recruiting, player development, practice planning, tournament preparation, and day-to-day operations. He also plays an active role in helping student-athletes grow both on the golf course and in the classroom.

A former golfer at Spartanburg Methodist, Todd brings a player’s perspective to coaching while emphasizing consistency, preparation, and continuous improvement. His passion for mentoring student-athletes and helping build championship-caliber programs has made an immediate impact on the Pioneers' golf program.

In his first season on the coaching staff, Todd helped guide the SMC men's golf team to a 62nd-place finish in the final NAIA national rankings while capturing team championships at the Pioneers Fall Invitational and the 2nd Annual Island Pointe Intercollegiate. The Pioneers averaged 303 strokes per round, recorded eight rounds under 300, and posted a season-best 285 (-3) in the opening round of the Pioneers Fall Invitational. Individually, eight different golfers recorded top-10 finishes throughout the season.

On the women's side, Todd helped the Pioneers claim team titles at the Fincastle Intercollegiate and the UPIKE Fall Invitational. SMC also posted its lowest team round of the season, a 332 (+44), at the UPIKE Fall Invitational in Pikeville.

As the Pioneers continue to build momentum in the Appalachian Athletic Conference and the NAIA, Todd remains committed to developing championship-level student-athletes while fostering a culture built on excellence, accountability, and continuous growth both on and off the golf course.
