SMC's Kiser Earns Second AAC Pitcher of the Week Honor of Season

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Spartanburg Methodist College junior pitcher Bailey Kiser has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

The honor marks Kiser’s second of the season. She posted a 2-0 record with a 1.00 ERA over the past week, allowing just two earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out 12.

Kiser highlighted her week with a complete-game shutout against Milligan on Sunday, recording seven strikeouts.

She becomes the first two-time honoree in the AAC this season. The Kingwood, Texas native currently ranks among the conference leaders, tied for first with 11 wins, second in ERA (1.48), and second in strikeouts (89).
