Altman Receives College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Recognition
Spartanburg Methodist College junior Anna Altman earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.
Altman enjoyed a strong year both in competition and in the classroom while competing in cross country and track & field.
During the outdoor track & field season, she recorded a pair of personal-best performances, highlighted by a sixth-place finish in the 5,000-meter race walk (41:19.58) at the 2026 AAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Earlier in the season, she established a personal record in the javelin with a throw of 62-9 (19.13m) at the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational.
In cross country, Altman closed the season with consecutive personal-best performances, running a 29:05.1 in the 6K at the AAC Cross Country Championships before posting a 24:47 in the 5K at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge.
In the classroom, Altman has excelled academically throughout her career. She has earned Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognition in each of the past four semesters and is a four-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
