SMC Duo Sweeps CAC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week Honors
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - A sprinter and javelin thrower from Spartanburg Methodist College have swept the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week honors.
Freshman Da'Sani Kinlaw earned the Athlete of the Week honor and sophomore Anna Altman garnered the Field of the Week award.
Kinlaw set a school record in the 100-meter hurdles (17.60 seconds) and established a new personal best time in the 200-meter dash (28.62 seconds) while competing in the John Hunter-James Classic, hosted by Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina.
Altman broke her own school record in the javelin throw with a toss of 18.80 meters to lead the Pioneers in the field events.
